Chopper unit of a forage harvester and shearbar for a chopper unit
The invention relates to a chopper unit of a forage harvester and a shear bar for a chopper unit.
From DE 196 52 656 B4 a chopper unit of a forage harvester is known which has a chopper drum which carries several chopper knives. The chopping unit also has a counter knife for the chopping knife, which is mounted on a counter knife holder. The counter knife holder is also known as a saddle or anvil. A base element, which is designed as a base plate, runs underneath the chopper drum, the base element being releasably attached to the counter-cutter holder with a section facing the counter-cutter holder. The shear bar of the chopper assembly according to DE 196 52 656 B4 comprises an upper side facing away from the shear bar holder and an underside facing the shear bar holder, wherein the upper side of the shear bar and the underside of the shear bar run continuously parallel to one another in the axial direction of the chopper drum and are inclined away from the chopper drum.
From DE 196 51 694 A1, another chopper unit of a forage harvester with a shear bar is known. According to DE 196 51 694 A1, the shear bar has shaped profiles on its upper side facing the incoming crop and away from the shear bar holder, the boundaries of which form longitudinal sections in some areas, which extend in the direction of flow of the crop, at least one transverse cutter being arranged downstream of the longitudinal cutters.
All of the counter-cutters of chopping units known from the prior art are designed to optimize the cut in the area of the chopper drum. This can make the

Chop the drum for the crop to drop and increase susceptibility to tamping.
There is a need for a chopper unit of a forage harvester, which is characterized by the chopper drum being easy to pick up with regard to the crop to be shredded, and in which a so-called susceptibility to tamping is reduced. There is also a need for a shear bar for such a chopping unit. Proceeding from this, the object of the present invention is to create a new type of chopper unit of a forage harvester and a shear bar for a chopper unit.
This object is achieved by a chopping unit of a forage harvester according to claim 1. According to the invention, the top side of the counter blade facing away from the counter cutter holder is contoured such that the top side of the counter blade is inclined continuously in the direction of the chopper drum in the contact area with the chopper knives, at least on a top section facing the chopper drum in the axial direction of the chopper drum.
As a result of the angle of inclination of the top section of the shearbar facing the chopper drum, which drops continuously in the axial direction of the chopper drum, the chopper drum is easier to pick up and the susceptibility to tamping is reduced. The shear bar has no elevations or the like when viewed in the axial direction of the chopper drum, so that the crop arrives in the area of the chopper drum without stagnation.
According to a further development, the upper side of the counter knife facing away from the counter knife holder on the top section facing the chopping drum is contoured such that a first section forming the cutting edge runs parallel or approximately parallel to an underside of the counter knife facing the counter knife holder, and that an adjoining this first section second

Section is inclined towards the chopper drum. This further development not only ensures an increased ease of picking up the drum and a reduction in the susceptibility to tamping, but also ensures an optimal cutting angle for the crop to be shredded in the area of the cutting edge designed as a transverse cutting edge.
According to a further development, the upper side of the counter cutting edge facing away from the counter cutter holder is continuously inclined away from the chopping drum on an upper side section facing away from the chopping drum in the axial direction of the chopping drum. This makes it possible that, when the shear bar is worn, the shear bar can be rotated and reused.
The shear bar according to the invention is defined in claim 7.
Preferred developments of the invention result from the subclaims and the following description. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, without being restricted to this. Show:

BE2018 / 5168
The invention relates to a chopper unit of a forage harvester.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a gene cutter for a chopper unit of a forage harvester.
1 shows a chopper drum 11 of a first chopper assembly 10 according to the invention, with the chopper drum 11 of the chopper assembly 10 in front of a pair of pre-pressing rollers 12, 13 as viewed in the crop flow direction X. A so-called wiper 14 interacts with the lower pre-compression roller 12.
The chopper drum 11 of the chopper assembly 10 carries a plurality of chopper knives 15, two such chopper knives 15 being shown in FIG. 1. A counter knife 16, which is mounted on a counter knife holder 17, interacts with the chopping knives 15. The counter-cutter holder 17 is preferably pivotable about a pivot axis 18, in order to set the counter-cutter 16 more strongly in the direction of the chopper drum 11, particularly when the chopper knives 15 are worn. In this way, the relative position of the shear bar 16 to the chopper drum 11 and thus to the chopper knives 15 can be adjusted. Bar 19 is arranged between the counter-cutter holder 17 and the counter-cutter 16.
In the embodiment of a chopper assembly 10 according to the invention shown in FIG. 1, an upper side 20 of the counter knife 16 facing away from the counter knife holder 17 is contoured such that the top side 20 of the counter knife 16 is continuously inclined in the direction of the chopper drum 11 in the axial direction of the chopper drum 11, and in fact, starting from a cutting edge 21 of the shear bar 16 provided by the top 20 in the direction of an edge 22 of the top 20 of the shear bar 16 opposite the cutting edge 21.
A virtual extension of the upper side 20 of the opposite side 16 intersects a straight line representing the crop flow direction X in a virtual intersection, which is positioned upstream of the chopper drum 11, viewed in crop flow direction X.
According to the invention, the upper side 20 of the shear bar 16 facing away from the shear bar holder 17, as seen in the axial direction of the chopper drum 11, is continuously inclined in the direction of the chopper drum 11 in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1. The top 20 of the shear bar 16 accordingly has no elevations or the like.
As a result, the ease of picking up the chopper drum 11 is increased and susceptibility to tamping in the area of the pre-pressing rollers 12, 13 and a feed housing is reduced. Crop material reaches the area of the chopper drum 11 without stagnation or the like.
2 and 3 show a section of a second chopping unit 10 according to the invention, the exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 2, 3 differing from the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1 in that the upper side 20 of the counter knife 16 facing away from the counter knife holder 17 is divided into two sections 23, 24 is subdivided.
The top 20 of the shear bar 16 facing away from the shear bar holder 17 is contoured in such a way that the section 24 of the top 20 of the shear bar 16 which serves as the cutting edge 21 runs parallel or approximately parallel to an underside 25 of the shear bar 16 facing the shear bar holder 17 and accordingly is not inclined in the direction of the chopper drum 11, whereas the section 23 of the upper side 20 of the shear bar 16 adjoining this section 24 is inclined in the direction of the chopper drum 11, as described with reference to FIG. 1 in such a way that a virtual Extension of the section 23 of the upper side 20 of the shear bar 16 intersects the axis of the crop flow direction X in a virtual intersection point, which is positioned in front of the chopper drum 11 when viewed in crop flow direction X.
BE2018 / 5168
The configuration of FIGS. 2 and 3, just as in the configuration of FIG. 1, increases the ease of picking up the chopper drum 11 for the crop and reduces the susceptibility to tamping. Furthermore, an optimal cutting angle for the crop is provided in the area of the cutting edge 21 serving as a cross cutting edge ,
The sections 23 and 24 of the upper side 20 of the shear bar 16 are viewed in the axial direction of the chopper drum 11 - at least in the contact area with the chopper knives - each with a uniform contour, so that no elevations or the like are formed in the area of the two section sections 23, 24.
Another exemplary embodiment of a chopping unit 10 according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. In the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 4 and 5, the upper side 20 of the counter cutting edge 16 facing away from the counter-cutting holder 17 is divided into two upper-side sections 26, 27, the upper-side section 26, which is the cutting edge 21 forms and faces the chopper drum 11, is inclined in the direction of the chopper drum 11, whereas the top section 27 of the top 20 of the shear bar 16, which forms the edge 22 of the top 20 opposite the cutting edge 21 and faces away from the chopper drum 11, from the chopper drum 11 is inclined away, these two top sections 26, 27 intersecting in a cutting line 28 to form a roof-shaped contour of the top 20 of the shear bar 16. The area in which the two top sections 26, 27 meet can also be somewhat flattened.
The cutting line 28 of the two upper side sections 26, 27 runs in the axial direction of the chopper drum 11, the two upper side sections 26, 27 preferably being symmetrical with respect to this cutting line 28, so that by simply turning the counter cutting edge 16 after the cutting edge 21 has worn, the opposite edge 22 can be used as a new cutting edge.
BE2018 / 5168
6 and 7 show a further exemplary embodiment of the invention. The exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7 combines the features of the exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 2, 3 and FIGS. 5, 6.
6 and 7, the two differently inclined top sections 26, 27 of the top 20 of the shear bar 16 are divided into the two sections 23, 24, the sections 24 of the top sections 26, 27 again running parallel to a bottom 25 of the shear bar , the sections 23, on the other hand, are inclined, namely the section 26 of the top section 26 inclined towards the chopper drum 11 and the section 26 of the top section 27 inclined away from the chopper drum 11, again with a roof-shaped contour of the top 20 of the shear bar 16, the cutting line 28 thereof runs in the axial direction of the chopper drum 11.
The contouring of the shearbar 16 according to the invention in the region of its upper side 20 facing away from the shearbar holder 17 increases the ease of picking up the chopper drum 11 with regard to the crop to be shredded. A susceptibility to tamping in the area of the pre-compression rollers 12, 13 or a feed housing is reduced.
The symmetrical configuration of the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, 7 is preferred, since the shear bar 16 can be reused after it has been worn by turning it.
The embodiment of FIGS. 6, 7 is particularly preferred, since in addition to increasing the ease of recording, it also ensures an optimal cutting angle in the area of the cutting edge 21.
A further embodiment of a chopping assembly 10 according to the invention is shown in FIG. 8. In the embodiment of FIG. 8, the top 20 of the shear bar 16 facing away from the counter cutter holder 17 is divided into two top sections 29, 30, the top section 29, which forms the cutting edge 21, and the chopper drum 11 faces, is inclined towards the chopper drum 11,
BE2018 / 5168, whereas the upper side section 30 of the upper side 20 of the counter cutting edge 16, which forms the cutting edge 22 of the upper side 20 opposite the cutting edge 21 and faces away from the chopper drum 11, runs parallel or approximately parallel to the underside 25 of the counter cutting edge 16.
According to the exemplary embodiments according to FIG. 2 or 3, the top section 29 facing the chopper drum 11 can additionally be divided into two sections, as shown by the broken line 31. The section forming the cutting edge 21 serving as a transverse cutting edge runs parallel or approximately parallel to the underside 25 of the shear bar 16 and forms a more favorable cutting angle together with the chopper knives 15. The other section is inclined in the direction of crop flow X towards the chopper drum 11 and improves the acceptability of the chopper drum 11 ,
A correspondingly designed shear bar 16 can be used in the installation position shown with regard to the crop flow direction X for problematic harvesting conditions. For more favorable harvesting conditions, a counter-cutting edge 16 contoured according to FIG. 8 can advantageously be easily turned over, so that the top section 30 interacts with the cutting edge 22 with the chopping drum 11.
With the above-described chopping units and counter blades, the harvesting result can be improved, particularly in problematic harvesting conditions, such as wet, sticky grass.
